Privacy Policy

Overview

AgeKit: Biological Age (“the app”) estimates your biological age from the health metrics already on your iPhone and shows which of them make you look older or younger than your calendar age. It is built to be private by design: the entire estimate is computed on your device. We do not operate an account system, we do not run a server that stores your health data, and we do not sell or share your personal data with anyone.

Data We Collect

We do not collect your personal data. Everything the app uses — the Apple Health metrics you grant it permission to read, the answers you give in the lifestyle questionnaire, your profile details such as birthdate, sex and height, your computed biological age history, and your settings — is written to storage on your device (a local SQLite database and local app storage) and is never transmitted to us.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your explicit permission, the app reads health data from Apple Health in order to calculate your biological age estimate. Depending on what your iPhone and Apple Watch record, this can include:

• Fitness — VO₂ max (cardio fitness), resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and walking metrics such as walking speed and steadiness.
• Activity — steps, exercise minutes, workouts and active energy burned.
• Sleep — your recorded sleep duration and consistency.
• Body — height, weight and body fat percentage.
• Vitals — blood oxygen, respiratory rate and blood pressure, where present.

This data is read from HealthKit on your device, used on your device, and stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to any server, never used for advertising or marketing, and never shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party — including data brokers, advertisers and insurers. The app does not write anything back to Apple Health. You choose which categories to share when the app asks, you can change or revoke those permissions at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices on your iPhone, and the app simply works with fewer inputs (and lower confidence) when a category is withheld.

Lifestyle Questionnaire

The app asks a short set of lifestyle questions — smoking, alcohol, diet quality, stress and time spent sitting — because those factors are not available from Apple Health. Answering is optional, your answers are stored locally alongside the rest of your data, and they are used only to refine your on-device estimate.

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device. There is no account, no login, no cloud backup and no cross-device sync. Your data is included in your device backups only if you have enabled iCloud or encrypted local backups for your iPhone — those backups are controlled by Apple and by your own device settings, not by us. Deleting the app removes its local data from your device.

Analytics & Advertising

The app contains no analytics SDK, no tracking SDK and no advertising. We do not build profiles of you, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not use your data — health data least of all — for advertising purposes.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. They are created and delivered by iOS itself — no push server is involved, and the content of a reminder never leaves your iPhone. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

Third-Party Services

The app relies on only two third parties, and neither one receives your health data:

• Apple — App Store distribution, the in-app purchase, and TestFlight for beta builds. Apple processes your purchase and handles billing under its own privacy policy; we never see your payment details.
• Superwall — the paywall and purchase SDK that decides which offer to show and keeps your purchase state in sync. It receives an anonymous device identifier and purchase/paywall events. It does not receive your Apple Health data, your questionnaire answers, your biological age estimate or any other health content.

Health Data

The HealthKit metrics the app reads, the lifestyle answers you give and the biological age estimates it produces are sensitive health information, and we treat them accordingly: they stay on your device, they are not transmitted to us or to any third party, they are never used for advertising or any other use-based data mining, and they are never sold to anyone.

Children’s Privacy

The app is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, people under 18 should not use it, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights & Control

Because your data never leaves your device, you are already in full control of it. You can revoke the app’s Health permissions in iOS Settings, edit or clear your questionnaire answers, erase all app data from the app’s settings, or delete the app to remove its local data entirely. We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf. If you contact us for support, we will only have the information you choose to include in your message.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date, and continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
