Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Dopamine Detox: Focus Reset, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app. The app is published by the makers of BiteKit.

Description of Service

The app is a local-only self-help companion for cutting back on high-stimulation habits: you choose the habits you want to reduce and a plan length, check in once a day, use a timed urge tool with breathing guidance and replacement activities when a craving hits, read short lessons, and review your streaks and progress. All of your data is stored on your device. The app is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

Not Medical Advice

The app is a general wellness and habit-tracking tool. It is not medical advice, not a medical device, and not a diagnosis of, or treatment for, addiction, compulsive behaviour, ADHD, depression, anxiety or any other mental-health or medical condition. “Dopamine detox” is a popular name for reducing exposure to habit triggers; the app does not measure, reset or change your brain chemistry, and we make no promise of any particular result. Lessons and suggestions in the app are for general information only.

If a habit feels bigger than a habit — if it is hurting your health, relationships, work or finances, or you feel unable to stop — please talk to a doctor, a licensed mental-health professional or a qualified support service. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately. Do not delay seeking professional help, or disregard professional advice, because of anything in the app.

Your Data

Everything you record stays on your device. There is no account and no cloud backup, which means we cannot recover your plan, check-ins or progress if you delete the app, reset your device, or lose it. Keeping a device backup is your responsibility. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Subscriptions & Purchases

The app offers an auto-renewable subscription at $3.99 per month with a 7-day free trial, and a one-time lifetime purchase of $19.99 as an alternative. Prices are in U.S. dollars and may vary by region and over time; the price shown in the app at the moment of purchase applies. All purchases are sold and processed by Apple through your Apple Account and are subject to Apple’s standard billing terms:

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the 7-day free trial if you do not cancel first.
• A free trial converts into a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple Account settings on your device (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Canceling stops future renewals; it does not shorten the period you already paid for.
• If you subscribe during a free trial, any unused portion of that trial is forfeited when you purchase.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; we cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.
• The lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-recurring purchase that unlocks the paid features for as long as the app is available and supported on your device. It is tied to the Apple Account you bought it with and can be restored on a new or reset device with Restore Purchases in the app.

Use of the app is also governed by Apple’s standard end-user license agreement for App Store apps, which applies except where these terms supersede it: Apple Standard EULA.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the app and make purchases only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Your own health and wellbeing, and for seeking professional help when you need it
• Deciding which habits to change and how far to go with them
• Backing up your device if you want to preserve your progress
• Using the app in compliance with applicable laws
• Maintaining the security of your device

Intellectual Property

Dopamine Detox: Focus Reset, including its design, features, lessons and other content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without our written permission. The notes and reflections you write remain yours.

Limitation of Liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any decision you make about your health or habits based on it, or any loss of data stored on your device.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
