Privacy Policy

Overview

Netball Scorer: Scoreboard (“the app”) is a bench-side scoring app for netball matches: a live scoreboard with a quarter clock, per-period lineups, and shooting statistics. It is built to be private by design: everything you record stays on your iPhone. We do not operate an account system, we do not run a server that stores your matches, and we do not sell or share your personal data with anyone.

Data We Collect

We do not collect your personal data. The information you enter in the app — match scores and score events, quarter and interval clock times, team names and colours, player and shooter names, court positions and lineups, shooting attempts and statistics, match history, and your settings — is written to storage on your device (a local SQLite database and local app storage) and is never transmitted to us.

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device. There is no account, no login, no cloud backup and no cross-device sync. Your matches and rosters are included in your device backups only if you have enabled iCloud or encrypted local backups for your iPhone — those backups are controlled by Apple and by your own device settings, not by us. Deleting the app removes its local data from your device.

Analytics & Advertising

The app contains no analytics SDK, no tracking SDK and no advertising. We do not build profiles of you, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes.

Player Names & Other People

If you add a team roster, the player names, numbers and positions you type are stored on your device just like everything else in the app — they are never uploaded and never shared. You decide what to enter, so you are free to use initials, nicknames or shirt numbers instead of full names. If you record details about other people, particularly players under 18, please make sure you have the permission you need from them or their parent or guardian, and follow any policy your club or league has about recording player information.

Third-Party Services

The app relies on only two third parties, and neither one receives your match data:

• Apple — App Store distribution, in-app purchases and subscriptions, and TestFlight for beta builds. Apple processes your purchase and handles billing under its own privacy policy; we never see your payment details.
• Superwall — the paywall and subscription SDK that decides which offer to show and keeps your purchase state in sync. It receives an anonymous device identifier and your purchase/subscription status. It does not receive your scores, teams, player names, lineups, statistics or any other content from the app.

Sharing a Match Summary

The app can generate a plain-text summary of a match and hand it to the iOS share sheet. That only happens when you tap share, and where the summary goes — a message, an email, your clipboard — is entirely your choice. The summary is built on your device and does not pass through us.

Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights & Control

Because your data never leaves your device, you are already in full control of it. You can edit or delete individual matches, teams and players in the app, or delete the app to remove its local data entirely. We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf. If you contact us for support, we will only have the information you choose to include in your message.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date, and continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
