Privacy Policy

Overview

Acid Reflux Tracker: GERD Diet (“the app”) is a personal diary for acid reflux symptoms, foods, habits and medications, together with educational lessons. It is built to be private by design: everything you log stays on your iPhone. We do not operate an account system, we do not run a server that stores your entries, and we do not sell or share your personal data with anyone.

Data We Collect

We do not collect your personal data. The information you enter in the app — reflux and symptom entries, foods and meals, drinks, habits such as sleep or late eating, medications, notes, triggers, and your settings and lesson progress — is written to storage on your device (a local SQLite database and local app storage) and is never transmitted to us.

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device. There is no account, no login, no cloud backup and no cross-device sync. Your entries are included in your device backups only if you have enabled iCloud or encrypted local backups for your iPhone — those backups are controlled by Apple and by your own device settings, not by us. Deleting the app removes its local data from your device.

Analytics & Advertising

The app contains no analytics SDK, no tracking SDK and no advertising. We do not build profiles of you, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. They are created and delivered by iOS itself — no push server is involved, and the content of a reminder never leaves your iPhone. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

Third-Party Services

The app relies on only two third parties, and neither one receives your reflux diary:

• Apple — App Store distribution, in-app purchases and subscriptions, and TestFlight for beta builds. Apple processes your purchase and handles billing under its own privacy policy; we never see your payment details.
• Superwall — the paywall and subscription SDK that decides which offer to show and keeps your purchase state in sync. It receives an anonymous device identifier and your purchase/subscription status. It does not receive your symptoms, foods, medications, notes or any other diary content.

Health Data

The symptom, food, habit and medication entries you keep in the app are sensitive health-related information, and we treat them accordingly: they stay on your device, they are not transmitted to us or to any third party, and they are never used for advertising or sold to anyone.

Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights & Control

Because your data never leaves your device, you are already in full control of it. You can edit or delete individual entries in the app, erase all app data from the app’s settings, or delete the app to remove its local data entirely. We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf. If you contact us for support, we will only have the information you choose to include in your message.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date, and continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
