Acid Reflux Tracker: GERD Diet is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It is a self-tracking diary and general educational tool. Its lessons, trigger suggestions and summaries are general information only, are not tailored to you, and must never be used to diagnose a condition, to decide whether to start, change or stop a medication, or to delay seeking care.

Always consult a qualified physician or other healthcare professional about your symptoms and before changing your diet, habits or medication. Reflux-like symptoms can have serious causes: if you experience chest pain or pressure, difficulty or pain when swallowing, vomiting blood or black stools, unexplained weight loss, shortness of breath, or symptoms that are severe, persistent or worsening, seek medical attention immediately or call your local emergency number. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read or logged in this app.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Acid Reflux Tracker: GERD Diet, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app. The app is published by the makers of BiteKit.

Description of Service

The app is a local-only diary for acid reflux: you log symptoms, foods and drinks, habits and medications, review your own patterns over time, and work through short educational lessons about reflux and GERD-friendly eating. All of your entries are stored on your device. The app is intended for personal, non-commercial use by adults.

Accuracy of Information

Trigger lists, food categories, lesson content and any patterns the app highlights are general guidance based on commonly reported reflux triggers. Reflux is highly individual: a food or habit that affects most people may not affect you, and the reverse is equally true. We do not guarantee that any information in the app is complete, current or applicable to your situation.

Your Data

Everything you log stays on your device. There is no account and no cloud backup, which means we cannot recover your entries if you delete the app, reset your device, or lose it. Keeping a device backup is your responsibility. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Subscriptions & Purchases

The app offers an auto-renewable subscription at $3.99 per month with a 7-day free trial, and a one-time lifetime purchase as an alternative. Prices are in U.S. dollars and may vary by region and over time; the price shown in the app at the moment of purchase applies. All purchases are sold and processed by Apple through your Apple Account and are subject to Apple’s standard billing terms:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you do not cancel first.
  • A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel a subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple Account settings on your device. Canceling stops future renewals; it does not shorten the period you already paid for.
  • If you subscribe during a free trial, any unused portion of that trial is forfeited when you purchase.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; we cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.
  • The lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-recurring purchase that unlocks the paid features for as long as the app is available and supported on your device.

Use of the app is also governed by Apple’s standard end-user license agreement for App Store apps: Apple Standard EULA.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Consulting a healthcare professional about your symptoms and treatment
  • Entering accurate information if you want your own patterns to be meaningful
  • Backing up your device if you want to preserve your entries
  • Using the app in compliance with applicable laws
  • Maintaining the security of your device

Intellectual Property

Acid Reflux Tracker: GERD Diet, including its design, features, lesson content and other content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without our written permission. The entries you create remain yours.

Limitation of Liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any health outcome, any decision you make based on its content, or any loss of data stored on your device.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
